JABE Machinery & Trading Co. Ltd. ("JABE", "we", "us", "our") operates the website jabemachinery.co.tz. We are registered in Tanzania and supply heavy equipment spare parts and rental machinery. Our registered contact is: info@jabemachinery.co.tz.

2. Data We Collect

When you submit our quote or contact forms, we collect:

• Name — required to address your inquiry.
• Phone number — required to reach you and to connect the inquiry to WhatsApp.
• Email address — optional, used for follow-up if WhatsApp is unavailable.
• Company name — optional, used to understand your procurement context.
• Message / product details — the inquiry you submitted.

This data is stored in our secure site database (form_submissions table) and remains accessible to JABE staff through the admin panel.

3. WhatsApp Handoff

After you submit a form, your browser opens a pre-filled WhatsApp conversation addressed to our business number. The message includes your name, product interest, and any details you provided. This handoff is initiated by your browser — WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs the data you send through their platform.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use our site, which helps us improve our content and reach.

These tools place cookies on your device and may transmit usage data to servers outside Tanzania. We activate these tools only after you click "Accept" on the cookie consent banner. If you click "Decline", no analytics cookies are set and no data is shared with Google or Meta.

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie (jabe_consent) for 12 months. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

5. Legal Basis & PDPA 2022

This policy is written in compliance with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act 2022 (PDPA). We process your personal data on the basis of:

• Contract performance — processing your inquiry is necessary to respond to your request to purchase or rent equipment.
• Consent — analytics cookies are loaded only with your explicit consent.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to service your inquiry and maintain business records, typically up to 3 years. You may request deletion at any time (see §8).

7. Third Parties

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — via the browser-initiated chat handoff described in §3.
• Google Analytics — only with your consent (§4).
• Meta (Facebook Pixel) — only with your consent (§4).
• Our hosting provider — for server infrastructure; bound by data-processing terms.

8. Your Rights

Under the PDPA 2022, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time.
